This conference will highlight University of Miami (UM) and FIU research efforts to address substance abuse, violence, and HIV/AIDS (SAVA) health disparities in South Florida’s Latinx communities. The agenda will incorporate research presentations, individual testimonials, and guidance from community leaders/advocates. Topics and themes will include Latinx SAVA research in the current political climate, the impact of our research on people’s lives, and innovative practices and lessons learned. CLaRO is funded by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (#U54MD002266).

The conference is free and open to the everyone in the community. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, along with a post-event reception.  Free transportation will also be available from certain locations across Miami-Dade County.
